近年首都直下地震の発生が危惧されている中、地域の防災力の強化に科学を役立てるため、市民の皆様が知りたい防災科学の最前線をわかりやすく伝えます。また、市民の皆様から防災科学に関する質問やリクエストを受け付け、各分野の研究者がそれに答えます。例えば、首都直下地震の可能性は？ 住宅や建築物の耐震化は？ 地震と一緒に台風や豪雨がくればどうなるの？ 救急医療の体制は？ などの疑問に科学者が答えます。
