阪神淡路大震災の際に現地動物救護本部が行った活動に対して後方支援を行った団体から構成された緊急災害時動物救援本部の活動を引き継ぎ、災害発生時における現地の動物救護本部が行う動物救護活動の後方支援を行うのみならず、平常時における災害時に備えた次の活動を行っています。１ 平常時から災害に備える大切さの普及・啓発２ 救護ボランティアの育成・研修３ 物資支援体制の構築４ 現地動物救護本部の設置支援
