国連の防災担当部局として2000年に発足しました。自然災害による被害・損失の減少、災害リスクの軽減を目指し、国際防災協力の枠組み構築、調整のための触媒的役割を果たしています。仙台防災枠組の実施推進など、多くのパートナー機関と共に各国の防災政策実施を支援しているUNISDRのグローバルな取り組みについて紹介します。
